Equine Workshop

We will base ourselves out of Ellicottville, NY and enjoy access to some amazing horse farms breeders, and trainers The fall colors should be at peak, the hills and waterways covered in glorious colors that the region is famous for. The workshop includes access to these amazing horse farms as well as instruction on equine safety for both you and your camera gear. Experienced handlers will be leading the horses for our photo excursions (weather permitting). We will not go into the fields if there are high winds or excessive rain. In those cases the group will work on barn portraits where I will be teaching multiple methods of using available light as well as artificial light to create stunning portraits. During the mid day hours (4 hours/day) we will be at the conference center where I will be teaching you how to create quality images through the use of Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Luminosity masks and various plug-ins that will make your images stand apart from the crowd. 

Each day we will head out before dawn to capture sunrise on location. Then we head out for our evening shoot, followed by a late dinner. 

Classes on Post-production editing of your images will be done after the workshop on-line so we can have some rest between breeders/ranches/trainers

Getting There:
The nearest airport is Buffalo Niagara (BUF). Rental cars are available.

Transportation:
Attendees will be using their own vehicles for ground transportation to different venues, however we encourage car pooling so that we have less vehicular traffic in some of the back-roads that we will be traveling.
